“Nobody can reverse it…”, Biden assures about his ‘climate policies’ ahead of Trump assuming office

Manaus (Brazil), November 18 (ANI): Joe Biden became the first sitting U.S. president to visit the Amazon rainforest on Sunday (November 17), flagging the dangers of global warming often dismissed by President-elect Donald Trump, who has vowed to scrap measures to fight climate change. He said, “Today I'm proud to become the first sitting American president to visit the Amazon and proclaim the first International Conservation Day, reflecting all it takes and it's at stake in the fight against climate change and honouring the power and promise of conservation work. With the International Conservation Day, we recommit to working with partners across our nation and around the world to safeguard our natural resources. Folks, we don't have to choose between the environment and the economy. We can do both. We've proven it back home. It's no secret that I'm leaving office in January. I will leave my successor and my country a strong foundation to build on if they choose to do so. It's true, some may seek to deny or delay the clean energy revolution that's underway in America. But nobody, nobody can reverse it. Nobody. Not when so many people, regardless of party or politics, are enjoying its benefits." Source: US Network Pool Via Reuters
